Welcome to Unite and Win, our very first EWOC conference! Check-in for the conference is available throughout the event. Attendees will have the chance to view an exhibition with materials from Wayne State’s Reuther Archives, primary source documents related to the history of the labor movement. Remarks at 7 p.m. Light refreshments served by Byblos Cafe & Grill.
Join Detroit DSA members at Northern Lights Lounge, located at 660 W. Baltimore Street, for a night of cheer. Hang out with folks organizing in the labor movement and beyond. $10 cover at the door. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Conference day one: in the books! Mingle with your fellow conference attendees at Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit and get a chance to catch an after-hours peak at exhibits like “Code Switch: Distributing Blackness, Reprogramming Internet Art.” We’ll provide the cash bar, you bring the camaraderie. Food will not be served. Galleries will be open 8–10 p.m.
Take a break from the weekend’s panels and workshops at a screening of Philadelphia DSA’s short film on the first Whole Foods Union, followed by "At The River I Stand" (1993), a documentary on the 1968 Memphis Sanitation Workers’ strike, also marking MLK’s final participation in a labor dispute before his assassination.
